Burkina Faso joins Global Vote

Burkina Faso, in West Africa, is one of the world’s poorest countries. Here, children’s rights are often violated and their lives are made difficult by recurring droughts and military coups.

Burkina Faso has more than 18 million inhabitants and out of those, more than half are children (under 18 years of age). The Country has ratified, promised to follow, the UN Convention for the rights of the Child, but still children’s rights are violated.

Listen to the children of Burkina-Faso who’ve taken part in the Global Vote, as they talk about their lives and future dreams.
